With technological advancements, small printers were introduced to the market to be installed in bank branches, allowing bank cards to be issued immediately upon the customer’s in-branch request. Providing this service, which required special software alongside the card printer in branches and is still quite common today, was initially a distinguishing factor for some banks’ brands.
